Psycho-Legal Studies Program
Welcome to the web site of the Psycho-Legal Studies Program
The Psycho-Legal Studies Program is a research program based in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Currently our major research effort is the Northwestern Juvenile Project, a longitudinal study of 1829 delinquent youth, first interviewed between 1995 and 1998. We are examining trajectories of alcohol, drug, and mental disorders; patterns of service utilization; the behaviors that put delinquent youth at increased risk for violence, HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections; and other poor outcomes.
